Our fiction books for adults focus on the post-apocalyptic survival genre, and specifically contains books that explore the interface between post-apocalyptic survival, human psychology and science, rather than focusing on other aspects, such as horror or science fiction. There are four books in this category at present, three books in the For Those In Peril series, and a book of short stories. These books are:
- For Those In Peril On The Sea by Colin M. Drysdale: First published in 2013 and primarily set in the northern Bahamas, this is a multi-award winning post-apocalyptic survival novel that explored the difficulties faced by people thrown together by chance when the world around them has fallen apart. - The Outbreak by Colin M. Drysdale: Published in 2014, this is the follow-up to For Those In Peril On The Sea. It is set in Glasgow in Scotland, and along Scotland’s rugged west coast. It primarily focuses on the psychological responses of people as their world falls apart around them and they find themselves struggling just to stay alive. It is available in both paperback and electronic editions.Awards: Winner Best Indie Book Awards 2015 (Horror Genre).
- The Island At The End Of The World by Colin M. Drysdale: Published in 2015, this is the third book in the For Those In Peril series, and focuses on the issues associated with a small group of people trying to rebuild their lives after all that was once familiar to them has been destroyed. It is available in both paperback and electronic editions.
- Zombies Can’t Swim And Other Tales of The Undead by Colin M. Drysdale: This is an anthology for short stories that explores a number of elements associated with surviving a zombie apocalypse. It is available in both paperback and electronic editions.
