As well as the editions of our Draw Your Own Encyclopaedia books aimed at individual children, we also produce versions specifically for teachers to use in their classrooms. These classroom editions are in an A4 format to make them easy to photocopy to create classroom handouts, and the right to photocopy pages to produce such handouts is included in the price of the book (which is £14,99). In addition, as well as the full text from the individual edition (including the usual topic paragraphs, questions to answer, quick facts, drawing prompts and the pop quiz based on the information provided in the book), these books come with a range of additional materials.
These additional materials include questions to test your students’ comprehension of each topic paragraphs, worksheets for maths problems associated with the book’s topic, blank Draw Your Own Encyclopaedia pages to allow your students to create their own encyclopaedia entries, ideas for additional classroom activities, links to further reading to enhance your own knowledge of the book’s subject and links to online content related to its content which you can share with your class.
These classroom editions will start to be released alongside all new books in the Draw Your Own Encyclopaedia series from summer 2019 onwards, and we will gradually produce and release classroom editions for older books in the series over the next few years.
As of summer 2019, three classroom editions will be available. These are:
Draw Your Own Encyclopaedia Our Solar System
Draw Your Own Encyclopaedia Space Exploration
Draw Your Own Encyclopaedia Hebridean Marine Life
